The Van Wert County Sheriff's Office is responsible for all law enforcement services in the county. The Sheriff's Office has an 82 bed Correctional Facility and serves as a PSAP location for 9-1-1 operations. We operate a K-9 program, Dare program, Dog Warden and Explorer Program. The Sheriff's Office has 13 deputies assigned to the road operation, 2 deputies assigned to the Detective Bureau and 1 deputy assigned as an investigator to a Task Force of the Enforcement Division.
