State of the Heart Care
What started as a small, non-profit hospice in Greenville, Ohio in 1981 has now grown into a flourishing, multi-service organization with agencies serving over 15 counties in east-central Indiana and west-central Ohio. Still a non-profit, and still governed by a local Board of Directors, we now have agencies in both Indiana and Ohio, but have maintained the same hometown feel and personal attention to detail while expanding our care and services.
At State of the Heart, our unique value is our care. It goes so much further than that, though. Most healthcare organizations tout an excellent standard of care. And, many actually execute on providing high quality healthcare. What makes us unique is that our care is without limits. We care about our patients, so we adopt best practices to ensure their peace and comfort.
At State of the Heart, we pride ourselves in living out this motto of “Care Without Limits.” As such, we commit to providing patients the services they need, where they need them and when they matter most. We developed a unique 4-phased approach to our care. Beginning with our informative, pre-hospice “enLIGHTEN” program, we care for patients and their families through and beyond our bereavement-focused “enCOURAGE” program. We believe that by expanding our services to meet patients where they are, we are demonstrating that “Care Without Limits” is more than a motto—it’s our standard of practice.
