Fire Extinguisher Technician

Summary

The Fire Extinguisher Technician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and installing portable fire extinguishers and related fire protection equipment. This role plays a key part in helping our customers stay safe and compliant with fire codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly and annual fire extinguisher inspections
  • Service and recharge extinguishers in accordance with NFPA 10 standards
  • Install fire extinguishers, brackets, cabinets, and signage
  • Conduct hydrostatic testing (if certified)
  • Complete accurate service reports and inspection tags
  • Maintain organized inventory on service vehicle
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service
  • Communicate clearly with customers about compliance needs
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Dependable, honest, and self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable working independently and in the field
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Preferred but not required:

  • NFPA 10 certification
  • Experience in fire protection or related field
