Help Me Grow Home Visitor

The Van Wert County Health Department is seeking a full-time home visitor to work with our Help Me Grow program. Help Me Grow Home Visiting is a voluntary family support program for pregnant women or new parents. Offered in every county of the state through a well-established network, Help Me Grow Home Visiting is an evidence-based program that promotes healthy growth and development for babies and young children. Day to day responsibilities will include: Contacting eligible families to set up appointments, completing home visits with families, referrals to local services, documenting and billing for services.

Requirements include a high school diploma or higher education, three years experience working with children, a willingness to work with at risk families and children, and a valid driver’s license. Experience with children and/or parenting education would be helpful.
