Cooper Farms is currently seeking a HR Business Partner to join our team in Van Wert.
The primary goal of this position is to support all Human Resource functions to the department/areas as assigned.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: From $22.50/hr (based on experience)
PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with production managers and team members. Serve as the point of contact for all team members in the responsible department(s).
- Work with HR Manager on staffing needs and maintain accurate staffing records.
- Maintain open communication with the Corporate Recruitment team on open positions as well as being a liaison with recruitment efforts.
- Complete the entry-level and skilled positions hiring process including interviewing, setting up job tour (if necessary), selection process, extending the offer, and communicating next steps with onboarding.
- Rotate as the facilitator in new hire orientation.
- Maintain a strong focus on retention over assigned areas with input on process improvement opportunities with the production managers and supervisors.
- Work with team members and Supervisors to address concerns or questions with work-related issues. Collect information pertaining to any investigations. Escalate to the HR Assistant Manager and/or HR Manager.
- Work with team members and Supervisors to address absenteeism concerns and issue early levels of progressive discipline.
- Enroll and educate team members on Cooper Farms Health Insurance, Short-Term Disability programs, submit changes as needed and provide follow-up and feedback as needed.
- Maintain all department team members’ files.
- Responsible for assigned specialized HR functions.
