The CNA Instructor is responsible for instructing students to perform successfully as Certified Nurse Aides and to supervise clinical experiences according to Ohio Department of Health guidelines.
• Valid State Department of Education certificate (Can be obtained after intent to hire)
• Possess a current Ohio License as an RN or LPN.
• RN’s must have 2 years experience in caring for the elderly or chronically ill through employment in a long term care facility, home health care agency, or hospital.
o LPN’s must have 2 years experience in a long-term care facility.
• Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g. a negative tuberculosis test, etc.)
• A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
• Keeps current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job functions.
• Commitment to keep current with occupational trends and skills deemed essential by employers.
