Looking for a self-motivated and reliable person with strong management skills. Experience with emergency management planning would be beneficial but on the job training available.
Responsible for writing and managing the PHEP (Public Health Emergency Preparedness) grant and deliverables. Will be reviewing emergency plans to assure the continuity between the Health Department plans, local and state plans.
An Emergency Response Coordinator :
- plans, directs, and implements disaster preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
- develop evacuation plans, conduct hazard assessments, and facilitate training exercises.
- act as a liaison with officials, managing on-site responses and implementing mitigating strategies.
- develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive emergency operations plans, hazardous risk assessments, and evacuation procedures.
- organize and conduct disaster preparedness training, drills, and simulation exercises for staff, volunteers, and local agencies.
- lead or support the on-site response during emergencies, activate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC),
- provide incident command if necessary. Serve as the liaison between the organization and public safety officials, government agencies, and community partners.
- maintain an inventory of emergency supplies, equipment, and technology.
