We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Paint Inspection and Sorting Technician to join our production team on second shift. This position is responsible for inspecting painted parts for quality defects, sorting materials according to company standards, and ensuring all products meet customer specifications before shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect painted parts for defects including runs, scratches, chips, discoloration, and incomplete coverage
- Sort and separate acceptable and non-conforming parts
- Follow quality standards and inspection procedures
- Maintain accurate inspection and production records
- Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and team leads
- Rework or touch up minor paint defects when applicable
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with packaging and material handling as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Good hand-eye coordination and visual inspection skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
