Weekend Dietary Aide 1st Shift

Employment Status: Part-Time

Hours: 6am-2pm WW (Sat and Sun) (off every 5th weekend)

Shift: Day Shift

Pay starts at $11/hr depending on experience and is determined by the hiring manager during an interview.

At Vancrest, we strive to provide the highest possible quality dining experience while ensuring the most nutritional diet possible for each resident.

Dietary Aide Job Duties:

Reviewing menus prior to preparation of food.
Inspecting special diet trays to assure they are correct.
Performing administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Director of Food Services.
Coordinating dietary service with other departments as necessary.
Working with the facility’s Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors as necessary and implementing recommended changes as required.
Assuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Assisting in establishing food service production line, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.
Processing diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
Performing dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
Assisting in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
