Adult Education – Part-time Clinical Instructor for Practical Nursing and/or LPN-RN programs
Summary
Foster a supportive learning environment for students to provide safe, quality, patient-centered care to patients.
Support students in applying classroom education to the clinical setting.
Assist students to develop critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and professional behavior in a healthcare setting.
Assess and evaluate student performance regarding their skills, knowledge, and attitudes.
Emphasize and maintain the philosophy and framework of Vantage Career Center and the Nursing programs.
Emphasize and maintain Vantage Career Center safety regulations.
Experience
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Ohio or a compact license.
A baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required.
Minimum of 2 years of practice as a Registered Nurse.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff and students.
Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g. a negative tuberculosis test, etc.)
A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
Keeps current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job functions.
Commitment to keep current with occupational trends and skills deemed essential by employers.
