Summary

Dental Assistant

Laing Family Dentistry – Van Wert, Ohio
Full-Time | Starting Rate $19-21/ hr + Bonuses | Reports to Doctor & Office Manager

At Laing Family Dentistry, 5-star service isn’t just expected — it’s celebrated. Grow with a team that values you, rewards your success, invests in your growth, and makes a lasting impact in our community.

About Us

Laing Family Dentistry has proudly served the Van Wert community for four generations since 1932. We believe in treating our patients like family and practicing the Golden Rule in everything we do.

While our history goes back more than 90 years, our approach to dentistry is anything but old-fashioned. We continually invest in modern technology, advanced procedures, and new ways to make dentistry more comfortable and convenient for our patients.

Over the past five years, our team has experienced practically zero turnover while continuing to grow to meet patient demand. Our team is warm, collaborative, hardworking, and passionate about caring for our community.

We’re growing — and we’re looking for another Dental Assistant to join our team.

Our Hiring Process

At Laing Family Dentistry, we believe in taking the time to find the right person — both for our team and for you. We are not in a rush to fill this position, and our hiring process may include multiple interviews with Dr. Laing and members of our team.

Please note that an interview is not guaranteed. Applications that best demonstrate relevant experience, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow will be given priority. A great cover letter can also go a long way in helping us get to know you.

If we do not move forward with you immediately, it does not necessarily mean the door is closed. We often revisit strong applicants as our needs continue to grow.

Our goal is to find someone who sees Laing Family Dentistry as a place to build a career, not simply find their next job.

About the Role

Our Dental Assistants play a major role in both the clinical success of our practice and the experience our patients receive.

You’ll work closely with our doctors to provide efficient, high-quality dentistry while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their appointments.

We provide a wide variety of dental treatment, so this position is ideal for someone who enjoys learning and doesn’t want every day to look exactly the same. Depending on your experience and training, you may assist with everything from routine restorative dentistry to crowns, extractions, implants, dentures, digital scanning, clear aligners, and other advanced procedures.

We also believe that great teams help one another. We do not believe in the phrase “that’s not my job.” While your primary responsibilities will be clinical, we expect every team member to be willing to step in and help elsewhere in the practice when needed.
