We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic K–6 STEM teacher to design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction in science, technology, engineering, and math. The teacher will foster curiosity, build problem‑solving skills, and integrate hands‑on, inquiry‑based learning across grade levels while supporting district standards and inclusive classroom practices.
LOCATION: Lincolnview Elementary School
WHEN: 2026-2027 School Year / Effective Start Date August 2026
HOURS: Full Time – Regular Teacher Hours
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess standards‑aligned STEM lessons for K–6 students using inquiry, project‑based learning, and differentiation.
- Create safe, organized, hands‑on learning environments (makerspace/ lab) and manage materials and equipment.
- Integrate grade‑level math and science standards and incorporate technology, coding, robotics, and engineering design challenges.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student growth; maintain accurate records and provide timely feedback.
- Differentiate instruction and scaffold supports for diverse learners, including ELLs and students with IEPs/504 plans.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to co‑plan integrated units and support classroom instruction.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional learning, curriculum development, and school events.
- Ensure adherence to school safety procedures, digital citizenship guidelines, and device management protocols.
- Valid state teaching credential or license for elementary education (K–6) or equivalent.
- Strong classroom management and differentiating instruction skills.
- Comfortable using classroom technologies (interactive whiteboards, tablets, basic coding platforms, robotics kits).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
