Full-Time Gifted Intervention Specialist

The Mercer County ESC is seeking a Gifted Intervention Specialist for Lincolnview Elementary School starting in the 2025-2026 school year.

The Gifted Intervention Specialist should be dedicated to supporting the MCESC mission of providing high-quality cooperative services that positively impact the diverse educational needs of students, staff, and community. The Gifted Intervention Specialist should also believe all students are valued, can learn and grow, and will become successful and independent adults.

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate broad subject matter competence and teaching proficiency. Use teaching strategies that stimulate interest, enthusiasm, and curiosity while addressing individual learning patterns.
• Ensure the learning process is guided toward the gifted program’s curricular goals and objectives.
• Establish an environment for gifted students that encourages independent learning and group problem-solving skills.
• Prepare and carry out clear, usable, and sequential daily lesson plans.  Research and prepare appropriate educational materials for gifted students.
• Provide close supervision and take reasonable precautions to ensure student safety.
• Stay up to date and utilize innovations in technology.
