What we are looking for:
Grammer is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our location in Delphos, OH. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team!
Job Functions:
- Oversee Quality Auditing Team and auditing/inspection activities.
- Review Auditing and Inspection Data.
- Perform data analysis to target areas for improvement.
- Participate in identifying open item issues.
- Control of documentation in accordance with ISO: 9001.
- Submit SRMs for the Quality Department.
- Gage Control and Calibration.
- Work with team to develop processes, establish process documentation and controls, and plant training needs of the new project.
- Assist with training of production personnel for processing and quality standards.
- Ensure incoming products conform to customer engineering standards.
- Support and develop process documentation, coordinate problem solving of quality issues as required.
- Review component and assembly supplier performance and submission.
- Determine possible quality problems and prepare a list of concerns to be discussed with the launch team.
- Monitor supplier concerns/rejections during pre-production and after Job #1.
- Work with tool and part suppliers on PPAP requirements and submission.
- Review and approve supplier PPAP package.
- Support elements of ISO: 9001, APQP and PPAP.
- Gage R&R studies, procedures and certification.
- Review of production quality performance with Quality Manager/Supervisor.
- Assist Engineers in development of FMEA, and process flowchart.
- Work with the team to develop processes, tune-in equipment and tooling. Establish process controls, assist in execution of new projects.
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
Deliverables:
- Quality documentation.
- Document control.
- Maintain PPAP booklet on assigned programs.
- Support development of PPAP submittal with Engineers.
- Develop and maintain quality auditor and inspector assignments as required.
- Maintain process documentation (i.e., Control Plan, flow charts).
- Maintain internal and external database: 8Ds, Process Alerts, and
- EASE Audit Schedule for layered process audits.
- Supplier Chargebacks.
- Data at regular intervals specified by area.
- Annual product certifications.
- Engineering changes.
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
