
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Second Shift Lead to oversee evening operations at our paint recycling facility. This role is responsible for leading production staff, maintaining safety and quality standards, coordinating workflow, and ensuring efficient processing of recycled paint products and materials. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Schedule
• Second Shift
• Typical hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support second shift production employees during daily operations
• Assign tasks and monitor workflow to meet production goals and deadlines
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies
• Train new employees on equipment, procedures, and workplace safety
• Monitor paint sorting, labeling, and recycling processes
• Conduct shift inspections and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Coordinate with the first shift and management team regarding production updates, maintenance issues, and inventory needs
• Troubleshoot minor equipment or operational issues and report major concerns promptly
• Complete production reports, shift logs
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, recycling, or industrial experience preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts or industrial equipment is a plus
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Comfortable working around paint products, chemicals, and industrial materials
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment with varying temperatures
