
The Western Buckeye Educational Service Center is seeking qualified applicants for a Workforce Navigator for the 2026-2027 school year. The Workforce Navigator serves as a regional connector between K-12 students, school districts, employers, higher education institutions, workforce development partners, and community organizations throughout Paulding and Van Wert Counties. This position is responsible for developing and implementing career exploration, workforce readiness, work-based learning, and career pathway opportunities that prepare students for success in post-secondary education, training, military service, and employment.
The Workforce Navigator will support district efforts related to Ohio’s Career Connections Framework, the OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal, Business Advisory Council initiatives, and the Ohio Industry Sector Partnership Grant. The position will strengthen partnerships between education and industry while helping students gain meaningful career experiences aligned with regional workforce needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Workforce Development, Human Services, Business, Counseling, Career Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
Valid Ohio licensure or ability to obtain appropriate certification
Experience working with youth, education, workforce development, business engagement, or career counseling.
Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the service region.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in career advising, workforce development, economic development, school counseling, or work-based learning coordination.
