The Counselor is accountable for screening, assessing, planning, documenting, and providing treatment and support to individuals with emotional, mental, and substance abuse difficulties. The Counselor’s role is to assist as part of a larger team in the recovery, education, and skill building techniques necessary to maintain a clean and sober lifestyle.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree or higher in mental health and/or substance abuse, social work, related human services field preferred.
One or more years of experience in drug and alcohol treatment preferred.
Limited Licensed/Licensed Professional Counselor.
Limited Licensed/Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Limited Licensed/Licensed Social Worker.
Limited/Temporary Psychologist.
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.
Work on or maintain IC&RC certification for substance use treatment.
