Patient Access Representative – Night Shift

POSITION SUMMARY:          

This position begins the Revenue Cycle process by collecting accurate demographic and financial information to produce a clean claim necessary to receive timely reimbursement.  In addition, this position provides exceptional customer service during encounters with patients, families, visitors Physicians and associates.

This position will use critical thinking in both emergent and non-emergent situations quickly. Will be responsible for managing incoming calls both internal and external, monitoring the command center, and will greet and direct all patients/visitors as well as assist patients as needed.

Experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school graduate or the equivalent required
  2. Must be proficient in typing/computer entry
  3. Medical Terminology preferred 
  4. BLS certification required. If not certified at date of hire, must obtain within 30 days. Must maintain certification.

  1. Good verbal and written communication skills
  2. Must possess excellent organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize
  3. Must possess the attitude of putting the client’s needs above own.
  4. This position also includes various other duties within the department
