Principle Functions:
- Responsible for the ongoing development, coordination, and leadership of Kingdom Connection Academy
- Responsible for walking out our mission of providing a Christ centered education that builds a foundation for students to positively impact our community for Christ
Required Personal/Spiritual Qualities:
- Evidence of a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus, demonstrated by a continuous walk toward spiritual maturity and an active prayer life
- Ability to cast and direct vision of the school
- Consistency of temperament and emotional control
- Good communicator, delegator, time manager, long and short-range planner, decision maker, and motivator
- An active member in good standing with a gospel centered church, or willingness to pursue membership at Trinity Friends Church
Professional Requirements:
- Hold or be willing to obtain License/certified by the State of Ohio for an administrator/principal position
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited college/university with a preference for a graduate degree
- Prior teaching and/or leadership experience preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
Spiritual Leadership:
- Provide inspirational and spiritual leadership for elementary faculty, staff, and students, setting a Christ-like example in all circumstances
- Carry out the mission of Kingdom Connection Academy
Entrepreneurial Leadership:
- Provide leadership in all areas related to opening and maintaining the school, including: accessing state scholarships, budgeting, student enrollment, faculty and staff recruitment, school policies, and facility maintenance
Academic Leadership:
- Create a rigorous and effective learning environment throughout the school
- Develop and improve faculty skills and instructional performance
- Lead curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
- Oversee the ODE EdChoice requirements
- Oversee student admissions, placement, and scheduling
- Oversee student academic progress, including the grade reporting system, intervention, and standardized testing
Faculty/ Staff Leadership:
- Recruit and orient new personnel to the mission and culture of the school
- Supervise and evaluate personnel on an annual basis
- Provide for faculty’s professional development
- Provide spiritual shepherding of the staff
Student Leadership:
- Promote a culture of redemptive discipline which seeks restoration rather than simply punishment
- Demonstrate winsome relationships with students and build trust between students and faculty/staff
- Exercise rightful authority with truth and love
Family/ church/ Community Leadership:
- Effectively communicate with school families
- Involve parents in prayer, volunteerism, input and decision making (as appropriate)
- Establish strong working relationship with staff of Trinity Friends Church, cooperating with them as a team member in a joint ministry
- Build relationships between school families and neighborhood churches to promote active participation by school families in a local church
- Seek ways to effectively market the school to the community
