The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for all law enforcement services in the county. The Sheriff’s Office has an 82-bed Correctional Facility and serves as a PSAP location for 9-1-1 operations. We operate two K-9’s, two Dare/SRO’s in the county schools, digital forensic lab, Dog Warden, and Explorer programs. The Sheriff’s Office has 15 deputies assigned to the road operation, 3 deputies assigned to the Detective Bureau.
