Elementary School Paraprofessionals

Summary

We are seeking compassionate and reliable paraprofessionals at our elementary (grades 1-5) building to:

Provide assistance to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning
Help maintain a focused and safe learning environment by supporting behavioral expectations
Collaborate with staff to implement student supports and goals
Partner with classroom teachers, intervention specialists, and related service providers to ensure student success
Supervise and support students during transition periods, recess and lunch

Experience

Patient, dependable, and positive
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Willingness to learn and implement support strategies
Experience with diverse learners preferred
Valid state department of education license/permit as determined at the time of appointment
Meets all mandated state/federal criteria (minimum of an associate’s degree or 48 semester/72 quarter hours of college credit from an accredited college/university, or an acceptable score on an authorized professional standards test)
