Functioning within OhioHealth Van Wert Hospitals mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Maintenance Mechanic/Security provides security, maintains service systems and equipment along with grounds to assure the continuous safe operation of OHVWH, Van Wert Health Center, and all other OHVWH facilities for patients, visitors and clients.
The Maintenance Tech/ Security is responsible for the daily operations of the hospital and facilities on the weekends with the support of the Director of Plant Operations and the facilities team. The Maintenance Tech/Security is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems throughout the assigned facilities. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
High/vocational school graduate or the equivalent required
Minimum of one year experience in maintenance department of small to medium facility or verifiable experience in a technical trade required
Health care law enforcement/security a plus
Must maintain valid Driver License and insurability
Must obtain CPR certification within 12 months from date of hire
