Production Superintendent – 2nd shift

Our Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant in Van Wert County, Ohio creates, cooks, and slices some of the highest quality deli products on the market for brands you know and trust. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 2nd shift Production Superintendent to join our team in Van Wert.

The primary goal of this position is to provide leadership and direction to the raw production, packaging, CRS and shipping/receiving departments.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 2:00pm-11:00pm

STARTING SALARY: From $75,000/yr

PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job Functions:

• Provide direction and leadership to the raw production, packaging, CRS, and shipping/receiving departments.
• Take a lead role in business master planning, capital expenditure processes, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Interpret specifications, SOPs, and policies.
• Assist production managers and supervisors in problem solving.
• Maintain an active role in product safety, legality, and quality systems.
• Make sound decisions based on available information.
• Focus on manager and supervisor knowledge and skill level to properly perform job functions.
• Work with other managers to achieve overall effectiveness.
