An expanding international company is opening U.S. operations in Van Wert, OH. This confidential company seeks qualified applicants for the position of Quality, Environment & Food Safety Systems Manager.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, normative, and legal standards, and the proper maintenance of the company’s US Management and Food Safety System to uphold the highest standards in quality, environment, and food safety.
- Ensure the operation, coordination, and upkeep of the Management and Food Safety System.
- Oversee Certification Audits and Official Entity Inspections.
- Ensure the maintenance and updating of the document management system, including the training documentation for the HACCP team.
- Lead the HACCP team, ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety standards.
- Ensure the implementation, maintenance, review, and updating of the HACCP system.
- Develop and ensure compliance with the audit plan, including regulatory and internal audits.
- Monitor and/or conduct internal audits.
- Promote and/or oversee Food Safety Culture initiatives.
- Identify training needs related to the management and food safety system and ensure training documentation is compliant.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of a pest control program.
- Provide training related to the management and food safety system.
- Prepare documentation related to the Food Safety System in response to customer requests (eg., food compatibility declarations, absence of substance declarations, and other specific customer documents)
- Develop and implement optimization measures.
- Identify, monitor, and manage non-conformities, ensuring their effective and timely resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify the origin of non-conformities and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Support the management of complaints and issues with suppliers, ensuring compliance with FDA and FSMA standards and promoting continuous improvement.
- Use advanced statistical process control tools to analyze data, identify patterns, trends, and extract relevant insights to determine improvement opportunities.
- Define and monitor the analytical plan and analyze and interpret test results.
- Evaluate supplier performance to ensure they meet the required quality, regulatory, and reliability standards.
- Conduct supplier audits to assess compliance with food safety regulations and customer-specific requirements.
