The Respiratory Therapist provides neuro-cardiopulmonary treatments and diagnostic services for patients (neonatal through geriatric) in accordance with standards of care. Performs respiratory care modalities and diagnostic testing. Provides services to critical care patients and ventilator management. Maintains and cleans equipment. Assists with chart audits and participates in performance improvement activities for the department and the hospital. Assists with other related duties as necessary.
Graduate of an AMA approved school for Respiratory Science
Licensed and in good standing with the State of Ohio Respiratory Care Board
Must have knowledge of respiratory pharmacology
BLS required
ACLS & NRP certification required or must obtain within six months from date of hire
Knowledge of growth and development necessary to provide age specific care of neonatal through geriatric patients
Must maintain competency in all cardiopulmonary modalities and diagnostics
