The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the retail store. The
Retail Store Manager will work side by side with the Lead Barista to ensure smooth operations
throughout the store. Provide Regional Manager with information necessary for problem
solving and decision making on behalf of the business.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Hires and trains baristas and retail staff.
● Organizes and oversees the staff schedules.
● Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
● Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with corporate policy.
● Oversees inventory of the backroom and in the store.
● Responsible for cash management and bank deposits.
RETAIL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
● Oversees drink preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling,
and hygiene standards.
● Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and customer experience.
● Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
● Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies.

● Conducts daily inspection of store and equipment, to ensure compliance with health,
safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
● Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts.
● Performs other duties as assigned.
● Ensures quality of chocolate, coffee & tea products are maintained and served at the
highest of standards.

can have a positive experience that adds to their day.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred.
● Previous restaurant/retail experience required; management experience preferred.
● ServSafe or other required health department certifications required, or able to be
obtained after hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to traverse all parts of the store quickly.
● Prolonged standing up to 8 hours with minimal breaks.
● Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
