VP of Human Resources

Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW: The VP of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing the overall strategic direction, planning, coordination, and administration of the HR functions at Alliance Automation. The VP of Human Resources is responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of policies and processes for recruiting, talent management training, employee engagement, legal compliance and record keeping, employee relations, safety, and employee benefits. This position requires a true strategic business partner who is collaborative and capable of building consensus and commitment toward shared outcomes.

TOP 5 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. LMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability)
    1. Lead and mentor the HR team to ensure high performance and professional development
  2. Executive Recruiting Strategy
    1. Facilitate forecast labor needs with department managers, own the recruiting plan, and actively participate in landing qualified talent for the organization. Manage the TN Visa and Green Card process for foreign national employees, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
  3. HR Policy, Total Compensation and Benefits, Safety, and Legal Compliance
    1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives. oversee all aspects of the HR function, including compensation and benefits, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure our policies meet the organization’s needs and comply with relevant employment law. Evaluate employee benefits and compensation to ensure they are competitive.
  4. HR Project Management
    1. Coordinate across departments to manage HR-related projects to drive results, and lead change with emotional intelligence. Provide strategic guidance and counsel to management on HR-related matters.
  5. Talent Training and Performance Management
    1. Engage with leadership to develop and implement plans to retain, develop, and train talent that allows Alliance to execute on our VTO (Vision Traction Organizer). Manage the Performance Review Process.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  1. Lead the Weekly HR L10 Meeting
    1. Facilitate the weekly HR L10 meeting per EOS guidelines to systematically drive results for the organization
  2. Leverage HR Technology
    1. Optimize and integrate HR technology, enabling managers and employees to efficiently perform people-related transactions. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance HR effectiveness and drive innovation.
  3. Lead Results Around HR Metrics
    1. Identify key measurables that drive HR results and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives
  4. Model and Ensure Integration of Alliance Core Values
    1. Live out the Alliance core values and make sure that our policies, processes, and actions reflect these values – partner with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational growth and expansion initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor to employees at all levels, promoting open communication and resolution of workplace issues.
  5. Leadership Team
    1. This person will be a key member of the Leadership Team.
Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience in a mid-size manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven track record of leadership and success in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Experience managing the TN Visa and Green Card process for foreign national employees
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. High emotional intelligence
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to provide thoughtful, progressive, strategic guidance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Must have valid driving privileges
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer workstation
