Principal Function:
The Worship Arts Director is responsible to the lead pastor for the continued development, coordination, and leadership given to the worship (music, prayer, arts) ministry of Trinity Friends Church. He/She will coordinate the entire church service, creating an atmosphere where human hearts are receptive to the Holy Spirit’s work in their lives.
Amenability: The worship leader will be directly amenable to the Lead Pastor. A sampling of Duties/Expectations:
● Live an abiding life with the Lord Jesus and be a spiritual leader in the church.
● Lead (influence) the people of the church by experiencing, living, modeling, and communicating authentic faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to successfully exemplify a model of Trinity Friends Church’s Mission and Core Values.
● Recruit & maintain a team of volunteer congregational talent to shape into a talented musical body that works together as a team.
● Coordinate the entire service, creating an atmosphere where human hearts are receptive to the Holy Spirit’s work in their lives.
● Seek God’s direction prayerfully in creating a long-term vision and purpose for the ministry of worship that is in line with the mission and core values of Trinity Friends Church.
● Evaluate ministry progress in achieving program goals and objectives.
● Plan and coordinate with the pastor services filled with rich content, effective structure, and relevant style that ushers people into the presence of God.
● Keep informed of music, methods, creative elements, materials, principles, procedures, promotion, and administration as related to Worship/Fine Arts.
● Conduct rehearsals and assign responsibilities to ensure effective administration and flow in the Worship/Fine Arts area.
● Coordinate and lead other creative elements to flow with the worship experience.
● Oversee media in cooperation with the technical audio-visual team.
● Led and prepared the worship services (all services) each Sunday morning and designated special services.
● Attend meetings and designated conferences of the pastoral staff as scheduled by the Lead Pastor.
● Works with Trinity Friends Church support staff as a team member.
Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert, Oh is seeking a paid, part time (20hr/wk) Worship Arts Director. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leading the local body of Christ into the presence of God through a variety of means. They will also possess strong visionary leadership and people skills. They will work closely with a group of volunteer musicians and technicians to facilitate a meaningful worship experience during church services and events. It is preferable that the candidate have a worship arts educational background and/or experience leading worship in a church context.
