Youth & Young Family Assistant

Job Objectives:

First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert, Ohio is seeking a follower of Christ, with a passion for the spiritual care of young children to be an assistant to the Youth and Young Family Director. This individual will provide a safe environment for young children ranging in age from toddlers to teens. They will exhibit Christian love, care at all times, and foster an environment for spiritual growth and worship.

Responsibilities Include:

· Nursery operations on Sunday mornings and special occasions.

· Be present and take part in small portions of weekly church services and special holidays.

· Help facilitate the JAM program on Wednesday evenings during the school year and special events.

· Help with the annual Vacation Bible School.

Requirements:

· Availability on Sunday 9:30am-11:15am & Wednesday 3:00pm-5:15pm(during school year)

· 1 hour per week for discussions with the YYFC on lesson plans.

· Available for 3 days VBS

· Available for special occasions upon request.

· Must pass a background check.

Compensation:

· $13 per hour for up to 10 hours per week
