Process Improvement Specialist

Our Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant in Van Wert County, Ohio creates, cooks, and slices some of the highest quality deli products on the market for brands you know and trust. Cooper Farms is currently seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Van Wert.

The primary goal of this position is to assist in identifying, planning, and implementing key projects to improve quality and safety, reduce cost, increase productivity resulting in significant business improvement, customer satisfaction, and team member safety. This position will need to work positively with production supervisors/managers.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm (*Most of the hours worked will be on first shift but may require some hours on second or third)

STARTING SALARY: From $52,000

PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job Functions:

• Be responsible for all tests assigned throughout the plant, including a follow-up summary
• Analyze workflows within and across all departments to determine opportunities in plant efficiency
• Be responsible for new equipment validation and SOPs
• Lead the AAR and RCAs for all departments
• Enter the Hydrofresh inedible into the system
• Update production standards for existing products as necessary
• Research new processes and equipment with Process Improvement Manager
• Audit processing procedures to determine compliance
• Coordinate and lead sponsored process improvement meetings for a given area assigned by Process Improvement Manager
• Maintain a good attitude toward managers and other team members
