This position plays a crucial role in the construction and building industry by assessing, estimating, and providing cost estimates for commercial door installation projects. This position evaluates project requirements by creating accurate cost estimates to help the organization make informed decisions for project planning.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial door installation projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs, with a specific emphasis on Division 10 products, including but not limited to toilet and bath accessories, closet shelving, mirrors, and toilet partitions.
- Participate in project meetings on both in-process and newly awarded job bids.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Source and select appropriate materials and hardware for the project, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with Business Development on installation pricing and scope.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to potential clients and general contractors.
- Partner with Business Development to present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bid documents, and correspondence related to each project.
- Communicate and collaborate with the project team effectively and professionally.
- Participate in margin value engineering process on outgoing bids.
