Summary of Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst monitors and reports on financial results as compared to plans, forecasts, and budgets. Gathers, organizes, and documents relevant financial information. Develops and manages financial models. Conducts other work activities as assigned.
Summary of Activities
Analyzes business and financial data.
Create & process journal entries, Prepare month end financial reports, Analyze reports for trends
Creates financial models
Develop reports to analyze results and monitor trends. Use key financial measures to predict results.
Develops financial plans and reports as assigned
Assist in the annual budget and quarterly forecast.
Analyzes trends and recommends actions as warranted
Use reports and other financial data to monitor & predict trends, provide guidance on corrective or supportive actions.
Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
Support users in the completion and justification of projects. Post-mortem analysis of projects to validate anticipated results.
Develops and manages routine reports
Maintain, improve current reporting for internal (US) needs and the needs of Corporate (DBC).
Presents data to management team as assigned.
Present fact-based results with proper explanations with confidence to internal and external audience.
Technical Skills/Competencies (technical knowledge, education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required and 2 years of experience, or a business degree with 5 years relevant experience.
Microsoft Office with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Thorough understanding of GAAP
Project Management
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Experience with ERP Systems
Experience with routine financial period closing processes
Experience in cost-accounting, internal auditing and the evaluation of capital expenditures preferred.
