Information Systems Business Analyst

Summary

Summary of responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Information Systems and a full member of the IT Shared Services team, the Information Systems Business Analyst carries out the investigation, analysis, design, configuration, testing and problem-solving activities entrusted to him/her as part of the support and evolution of the company’s business systems.

Key responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity through information systems;
  • Supervise data changes;
  • Bridging the gap between business processes and information systems;
  • Be able to design or develop value-added solutions or tools for the organization;
  • Monitor system performance, alerts and warnings, and follow up as required;
  • Collaborate with users and participate in change management;
  • Support the rest of the IT team in their tasks and projects;
  • Provide and participate in user training;
  • Support users of business applications supported by the Information Systems (IS) team;
  • Follow-up and resolve system-related application problems, and inform users of causes, solutions and/or changes in system functionality, as required;
  • Keep abreast of business processes;
  • Identify business opportunities and operational improvements in order to design information systems and provide solutions
  • Keep information system documentation up to date.
Experience

Technical knowledge, education and experience :

·         Bachelor’s degree in business computing, or equivalent;

·         At least five (5) years’ experience as an ERP Business or Functional Analyst;

·         Very good knowledge of Level 1 integrated enterprise systems (ERP/MES/CRM);

·         Knowledge of SQL databases programming & querying languages an asset;

·         Knowledge of project management;

·         Experience of working in a manufacturing environment;

·         Excellent problem identification and resolution skills;.
