The Van Wert County Recorder’s Office is responsible for making a complete, accurate, and permanent record of every document pertaining to the conveyance and encumbrance of land within the county.
Monday – 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday thru Friday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Receive, inspect, and record documents
Perform all accounting functions necessary
Index, verify, and redact all documents presented for recording
Index, verify, and redact historical documents
Answer telephone calls and respond to emails
Assist the public
Assist the Recorder with administrative duties
Proficient typing skills
Excellent proofing skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
